Calvin D. Linton Endowed Scholarship Fund

This endowment fund was established in 1987 by Mrs. Jean L. Linton, BA ’47, MA ’48, MA ’84, and various other donors in honor of Dean Calvin D. Linton. Income earned by this fund supports students seeking traditional liberal arts grounding in certain major humanistic disciplines underlying Western culture. This scholarship further aims at fostering major-field programs stressing a historical continuity and inter-relationships among the humanities. This award is for either full- or part-time students in the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences. Recipients must be senior students majoring in English literature, French literature, classical humanities, or art history.
