Derrel Waldroupe Memorial Scholarship Fund

This endowment fund was established in 1988 by Baxter Healthcare Corporation in memory of Derrel Waldroupe. Income earned by this fund provides scholarships for financially underprivileged undergraduate students in the computer science discipline who are interested in careers in health-related professions. Eligible students may be majors in computer science in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences or in management sciences in the School of Business who are interested in pursuing a career in the health professions. Alternatively, recipients may be majoring in one of the health sciences programs within the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, with a concentration in computers and management information. Recipients are full-time students with demonstrated financial need.
